  • Type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance are on the rise and there is good scientific evidence showing that Fenugreek acts as a blood sugar regulator.
  • Also, the seeds are a source of soluble fiber which regulates blood sugar by slowing the absorption of sugar in the intestines.

When the natural balance is firmly in place, all the beneficial effects of phytoestrogens can be seen in full power, which results in better skin, better mental health overall, and increasing feminine attributes.
  • Ashwagandha is also powerful when it comes to lowering blood sugar levels, reducing cortisol, boosting brain function, and help fight symptoms of anxiety and depression. These are all the ‘natural enemies’ of feminine beauty, especially stress and anxiety that are scientifically proven disruptors of hormonal balance and lead to faster skin aging or eruptions of Acne problems.

Dong Quai Root Extract

  • It is traditionally used for the treatment of menstrual cramps (dysmenorrhea), also for symptoms of PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome), and to block hot flashes and other symptoms associated with menopausal complaints.
  • Dong Quai works is because active constituents have these estrogen-like compounds. They're not estrogen but they have a sort of estrogen-like behavior about 1/400 the potency of the body's natural estrogens.
  • That means it's effective in treating conditions where there's estrogen to progesterone imbalance. So if you take Dong Quai then those weaker estrogens actually can bind to the tissue receptors first blocking the ability of the body's more powerful estrogens from exerting their effect. So you sort of toned down the estrogen to progesterone influence on the tissues.
  • By toning down the effects of estrogen, Dong Quai has been shown to be useful in treating premenstrual syndrome and menstrual cramps.
  • When estrogen levels drop really low as they do in menopause, the estrogen activity of Dong Quai puts a little estrogen back into the body gently and helps to block hot flashes and other symptoms.

  • Yet many women use wild yam products and report significant relief from hormone imbalances like menopausal symptoms, PMS, infertility, low libido, and menstrual irregularities.
  • The active ingredient in wild yam is diosgenin which is a steroid molecule and a phytoestrogen. In the laboratory, diosgenin and can be converted to progesterone.
  • Research on the effects of wild yam in the human body has been inconclusive and scientists believe that diosgenin is not turned into estrogen or progesterone in the body.
  • We have much to learn about the human body and it is possible that wild yam works in ways we simply don't understand yet.
  • Do not confuse wild yam with yam found in your local supermarket. The yams you will find there are actually sweet potatoes and do not have the same effect as wild yam.
